  • Do you offer private therapy to clients around the uk?
    Yes, here at Therapy with Alison, I offer online private therapy all around the UK.
  • What type of private therapy do you offer?
    I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Therapist and offer this therapy online across the UK. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) works on the basis that the way we think and interpret life’s events affects how we behave and how we feel. I offer this private short-term therapy that helps people (18+) find new ways to behave by adapting their thought patterns and behaviours. A link will be given ahead of each session and this will be done on a one to one confidential basis. Please find more information about CBT here.
  • How many sessions of online private CBT therapy will I need?
    Everybody is unique, as are their situations when they first come to Therapy with Alison. Before beginning any CBT therapy with me, I offer a free 20 minute consultation with you. In this session, we'll discuss fully if CBT is the most suited approach for you. If it is appropriate, at this point, I should be able to give you a good indication about your therapy plan and how many sessions it might involve.
  • How do I get in touch with Alison to start my private therapy?

  • What do I need to start my online private therapy?
    Our CBT therapy can be done by online video call or by phone consultation, it's just whatever you feel most comfortable with. You will therefore need a phone, laptop or tablet and a working internet connection. We will use one of the many free, accessible and encrypted platforms available now such as Teams, WhatsApp or Skype. You will also need a private space where you feel comfortable to speak openly.
